2019 Firefox Plugin

Due to changes made to the Firefox API in 2017 our old and simple Tracker Helper extension stopped working. Since then we have been forced to use the PaleMoon browser, but we also created a replacement plugin that gets us back to Firefox.

That new plugin is now ready!

The new Firefox programming environment requires two components: first, a small 'native' application that is installed on your local computer, and second a new browser extension 'plugin' to make the connection between the Tracker server and your local computer.

If you want to use this new plugin, please follow the steps below. Note that installing the native app might require admin rights on you computer or coordination with your local county IT Department.

This is still relatively new, if you run onto any problems or strange behavior, email Jay at jharrell@pacga.org, and also keep your copy of PaleMoon around for now just in case!

  1. Install Firefox, or update to the latest version from: www.mozilla.org
  2. Install the native Tracker Helper App Installer for Windows, Mar 4, 2019
  3. From Firefox, install the Firefox Plugin: Tracker Firefox Plugin XPI 6.0.1
  4. Completely close Firefox and reopen after installing both parts.
  5. Come back to this page and look for the Blue-W above.
  6. Click the Blue-W and verify that MSWord runs successfully.
